

They have had the store for over a decade, they need to actually fix this and not call it a Beta.

Sure, Origin might limit you to 5 changes per day, but to make you reinstall everything? That is absurd. I've gotta say, I have never had this problem with any launcher before. So whenever you upgrade a PC you have to reinstall all your games? Are you kidding me? What is Microsoft doing? They have had this store for over a year now. Is it really this hard to play my own games? Has anyone encountered this? I switched a setting in the Microsoft Store turning "Offline Permissions" off at the suggestion of one Microsoft Agent in this thread, and not only did it do nothing to help, I got a message when I switched it saying I can only change that setting three times in the next year. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. Now I'm able to open the folder (and indeed the Xbox Gamepass games are found here), but when I try to run any of the games, I now get this error: I was denied permission to open the folder, and so had to go through the Properties->Security tab to change permissions and restart. I tried to hunt down the installation folders (which was annoying itself as for some reason there wasn't an option to open file location from the Start menu) and found the new WindowsApps folder on my drive. The games are installed to an external HD, and the drive is connected and everything else works just fine. After booting my computer today and attempting to open the games again, I get the error message in the title. I just subscribed to the Xbox Gamepass Beta last night, and was able to install and play games on it just fine.
